Tell her she is welcome to drive around my neighborhood all she wants. Cats kill their entire life.

You need to admit to your daughter that you are the one that really killed him.

Never seen a cat not get out the way of a vehicle that is slowly pulling into a driveway.

Such a shame, and an accident. Pets are awesome.

The good thing to come out of this is your daughter will be much more cautious when driving and avoid accidents in the future, as it affected her emotionally.

Well, she should be glad it was a cat and not a someone's child. Sucks, but she'll be a better person for it.

Did this in high school backing out of the driveway to one of my moms cats.

When I was like 1st grade my best friend down the street lost their beagle to the mother pulling into the garage. That dog was an escape artist, they were always having to go find it. Watched it climb the chain link fence once.

Take her to see “CATS: The Musical” soon.

You’re welcomed in advance.

The only time I've seen my father cry was the day he accidentally ran over our dachshund when I was about 12. She was 18 years old, and we had a gate that led to our driveway. It wasn't an automatic gate, so you had to get out and open it up before you pulled through. I opened up the gate and dad went forward and just didn't see her lying in the driveway. She was too old to get out of the way. He went and buried her and did everything by himself and when he came back I could tell that he had been crying his eyes out.

Dam Son! Why did you have to bring a dog into this thread? I was perfectly fine reading this thread until this.

Sucks. I feel bad for her.

Have a stray/outdoor cat that "adopted" us at our old house. She used to hide in the bushes and then run into the garage when I would open the door when I got home. Would immediately plop down and start rolling around where my car would normally park.

I'd have to get out and move her (all the while purring) so I could park my car. Could have easily happened if I wasn't paying attention one day.

She's sitting next to me now (inside) 13 years later.

Last day of high school, I drove home from school to change clothes to go the big party, pulled into the carport and ran over our cocker spaniel. I now remember that day for the wrong reasons.

RIP Daisy.

Had three kittens from across the street make residence around my house. Two tabby's and a white and grey. Started feeding them so as to keep rodents, snakes and what not away. One of the tabby's was super friendly. Would come in the man cave and let me pet him. All three were males, and he was alpha to the other two. Well he gets hit and dies while crossing the street. Now I have two who don't give a shite except when it's food time.

I ran over a duck once. Thought about bringing it home for supper but it was one of those ugly ones.
