She should feel bad, she ran over a living animal based on her carelessness. It's ok to feel sorrow and realize you fricked up.

They lay in the drive all the time and barely get out of the way and want to meander around the tires.

I told her you can't stop, just go super slow and not change direction rapidly. When you stop they think you are done and going to get out to see them.

Some people say just keep them in. We live in the country on a dead end road. I feel it's cruel to keep them locked up.

Don't let your daughter beat herself up. Mistakes happen.

I mean, she ran it over and killed it knowing it was directly in front of the vehicle. Pretty damn big “mistake”

I guess the cat used all 9 lives.

Just joking, sorry for your loss. I hope your daughter is okay.

You obviously dont have pets that like to lay on the driveway.

That really sucks. Hope it doesn’t haunt her for years. Especially since the cat suffered for at least 10 minutes afterwards.
There’s a reason some cultures don’t let females drive automobiles.

If the cats laid down that much it was only a matter of time before a Coyote separated your cat’s head from its body and sold its kidneys to the cartel.

We are talking about my pet cat, not the LSU defense here.

Absolutely do, but always have visual conformation before I keep going to park. That's just common sense.
And sorry about your cat, sucks.

Might as well throw him on the grill

Cat wouldn’t waste any time dining on your corpse if you croaked and no one was home

With that lack of survival instinct, the cat was probably fortunate to have lived as long as it did.

A couple of months ago, my wife and I were on a walk. We scared a cat out of a ditch as we walked by and it ran right out in front of a car and got hit. I felt terrible.
