I hooked up with a widow that was also just divorced. She was 7 years older than me and had money… she could not get enough. In the end she ended up using me. But oh well.

would you worried about being compared to someone that you can’t “compete” with?
I married a young widow many years ago.

You can't compete with Saint Bob, Saint Ray, Saint Joe, or Saint whatever his name was.

She and I are still great friends. She is married again, but will admit. It took her 15 years to get over his death.

One other thought on this.

I think I went on my first date after about 6 months...I wasn't ready at that point but I knew I had to try. For me, it took about 2 years to really be ready to date again.

The point is, if she's a fairly recent widow it's going to be harder on her (and you) than if she's a few years removed.

Some advice, let her acknowledge his birthday and has day of passing without being insecure.

Lol. Let her acknowledge his birthday? Haha. It’s a dead person that she loved, not a pet.

I saw a stat the other day that 50% of divorced people have no interest in dating. It's 75% for widowed people. Females have less interest than males, and interest declines with age.

I know someone like this as well. Maybe when they pass you just focus on the good times and forget the bad? I always wondered about it.

That’s because with apps like tinder they can get some NSA dick without wasting the time and effort.

I can recall when I was 18, I got a job on a wheat farm helping out this widow during the Summer. It was in the middle of nowhere, and I never would have known how much I would learn…

You should.

I met a cute chick that was a widow but then she was moving in like 2 weeks so I didn’t pursue it

I’d take a widow over a divorced chick

doesn't take much to remember a romance with no responsibilities.
