Mountain Lion in Colorado when out feeding the hogs on the farm.

Was about 50 yards away, it just keep on moving along not paying any attention to me. Jumped over a 6 ft barb wire fence no problemo.

Black Tip Reef sharks when fly fishing the flats in Hawaii. Kept on fishin.

Huge beavers (no pics) in Wyoming fly fishing on the North Platte. Didn't know there were there until they slapped their tail about 20 yards from me....damn near jumped out of my waders.

Walking out of woods after dark. Big rutting buck walks right up to me. we have strict guidelines on what’s constitutes a shooter. He kept coming as I stood still just a silhouette. I took a chance shot him w crossbow at 5 yards right in swollen neck. Fell at me feet kicking leaves all over me . I think about it every time I look at he mount over my desk. Scored 145 with two split brows. CSB

There was one confirmed U.S. service member fatality (Marine Corps) due to a tiger attack in the Vietnam War. Another Marine was attacked but survived of 3rd Marine Recon Div. in Quang Tri Province, 1968. Vietnam was part of the range of the Indochinese tiger, which is now extinct except for a few dozen in Thailand.

I'll try to find the exact link.

Hiking up a valley in Denali National Park we saw 13 grizzlies over a three day period, at distances from a half mile down to about 50 yards. Saw a mother with cubs bow up at a lone male and chase him off. We were camped on a river bar one morning, looked out of the tent and there was one sleeping at the other end of the bar. He eventually woke up and ambled off to wherever he was going, making a wide, deliberate detour around where we were camped.

The camera leads me to believe that man voluntarily got himself in that situation, so I would most likely sit back and enjoy the show

My buddy who was stationed at Ft Lewis, WA, swears that their training ranges were well known Squatch habitat, and that it was common to hear them on night exercises.

Then that SOB started squalling like something out of a horror movie .

That squall/scream/whatever god forsaken racket is one of the spookiest things I've ever heard in the woods. It almost sounds like a baby or small child wailing. It just sends chills through me!

Barracudas are definitely the creepiest-acting fish in the fish world.

Stars and Stripes reported in 1969 that a Marine was picked up by the back of his neck while on an ambush and carried away. He got free by beating the shite out of the Tiger with his fists, which freaked out and dropped him. Marine was mauled pretty badly. Just got lucky the big cat was a pussy.

Yeah they are pretty freaky, with those big eyes and teeth sticking out everywhere. When I saw it I just turned around and sprinted swimming for shore, but that was because I was like 12, in hindsight I probably should have slowly backed away.

I've always heard cougar or mountain lion. I don't think I want to find out.

Those angler fish aren’t that big and they live at the bottom of the ocean, rarely interact with humans. Barracudas act creepy because they frequently interact with humans and they just stare at you.

I have reoccurring nightmares about that damn deep sea "fish". Seriously, since I was a child and first saw a picture of that thing.
