After being stuck on I-10 for 12 hours during the 2004 hurricane evacuation, I got off the interstate in BR and got away from all the traffic by going 190. Hit a raccoon doing about 80 mph. Only real dangerous part about that incident was that I was speeding through Krotz Springs.

Was literally standing with a rattler at my feet in the Arizona desert when he lit the rattles up. I did a vertical leap of about 7'3".
It is unreal how loud they are when you are standing on top them. How I didn't get bit is beyond me.
Another time I was fishing at one of the man-made lakes around Phoenix. I heard a noise behind me and thought it was my buddy Dave.
I looked up and see Dave at least 500 yards down the bank. My eyes immediately went to the tackle box beside him. The pistol we brought is in that box.
I grabbed rock that weighed 7-8 pounds and slowly turned as I stood up. A coyote was about 4 feet from me. I very slowly raised my rock to the "you move and I will crush your skull position."
We had a about a 1 minute stare down before he turned and trotted off.
I knew I could kill him since there was only 1 of him. 2 or more and you're in trouble. All I could think about was they carry rabies. Back then you had to get a long series of painful shots delivered into the stomach.
I guess he won, because I was definitely more scared than him.

Two black bears chased me off the Apalachee River in 2011. They could have caught me if they wanted, but i guess they just wanted to scare the everloving shite out of me.
If a black bear kills you, it is usually to eat you.

Is that the animal kingdom equivalent to a fight at the club?

For creepy ocean things where some parasites eat out the host's tongue to replace it. Anglers rank low on the list.

Stars and Stripes reported in 1969 that a Marine was picked up by the back of his neck while on an ambush and carried away. He got free by beating the shite out of the Tiger with his fists, which freaked out and dropped him. Marine was mauled pretty badly. Just got lucky the big cat was a pussy.
There was also a tiger that was killed by a NVA made IED near some marines that were camped out. The tiger's body didn't have a single visible injury, but the explosive concussion killed it.

Does anyone have any dangerous encounters with any wild animals?
I once encountered a Jaguar in the wild. Very dangerous, but not very elusive or smart.

We were rounding up and moving the cattle from one pasture to the other...saving the brahma bull for last. I hated that SOB. So we finally started to round him up into the corral and as I was the one who had to go in there and lead him in it was my job to go to the other side and lead that SOB into the trailer. The next thing I knew is he pawed at the ground and took off after me and I ran like a bat out of hell and dove through the barbed wire fence to get out of the corral. After hitting the ground and rolling I got up I looked back and he had knocked the fence about a third of the way over. Somehow the only injury I got was a cut on my leg from the barbed wire fence...still don't know how I didn't scar up more of myself jumping through it like I did. Man I hated that bull.

Walked up on a very large male griz who saw me and went on with his business.
Way too close to a momma moose with twin calves.
Stalked by a mountain lion (according to a ranger. Never actually saw it)
Bull shark sighting while swimming in Destin (girl was killed right by us)
