First off thank the OT for putting me on to Hardcore History.
Did all six Countdowns to Armageddon then Destroyer of Worlds.

Love it.

One issue, but maybe it's my ear.
Does he say "again" really oddly?

I just keep noticing it.
It's like a Sam Kinison/Bill Hicks enunciation.

My only issues is how he goes from whispering to yelling from one statement to the next.

And that his last one sucked balls.

Celtic Holocaust or whatever? Yeah it was pretty boring for me. The nuclear one before that was great though.

I think he just says again an awful lot. And the volume modulation does suck for sure.

Agree. I'm constantly adjusting my volume

His last one was bad, but he admits that torture in a historical sense has always intrigued him (think of the episode about the Anabaptists). I actually think his last two Hardcore History podcasts have been let downs. Then again after Kings of Kings, Countdown to Armageddon, and Wrath of the Khans, I’m not sure anything could live up

Forgot about that one. It wasn't bad I thought. The one before was the one I basically gave up on and tuned out.

So what are the best ones? I did countdown and Destroyer of Worlds.
Was about to start the torture one.

I couldn't make it through King of Kings. I guess I'm more interested in modern subjects. I thought the painfotainment episode was very interesting.

Wrath of the Khans, Kings of Kings, Ghost of the Ostfront, and Death Throes of the Republic are my favorite series of his.

I loved American peril and his comparison of Hitler to Alexander the great.

Blueprint for Armageddon is the best. It is truly amazing.

Wrath of Khans is probably my 2nd favorite.

A "shorter" one that I really enjoyed was Prophet of Doom.

How often does he do this?

Whispers "Quote", yells while reading a quote for five lines, whispers "End Quote"

I love ancient history and really enjoyed looking at it from the Persian perspective.

I couldn’t get into the painfotainment one. To each his own I guess

King of Kings was hard just because he didn't have much material. Had to take most of the information with some skepticism. I still found it interesting though.

I do it while I drive.
That, Audible and songs about killing people and selling drugs that are decades old.

I thought Prophets of Doom was incredibly fascinating, and it was something I had absolutely no prior knowledge of.

I don’t like Dan Carlin because he isn’t an real historian

(The an is correct because historian starts with an h)
