Ah, my mistake. I re-read it and saw what you meant. I think I've misread your entire position. My bad, I was wrong. It also goes back to that entire discussion over what right vs left actually means.
In the sense you're saying it, I think, you're right. I was meaning more in the sense of the common day meaning of it.
That's also why I favor the liberty or freedom vs state continuum. The whole right vs left is just a smokescreen designed to keep people infighting and not seeing the bigger issues.

You’re right, the New Deal, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Great Society, Obamacare, Medicare/Medicaid for all, free college for all, monthly stipends from the government. and going after the “1%” are all right wing policies/beliefs.
I’m sure many more can go further into the weeds than I regarding economic policies of both parties and where they’ve screwed the citizenry. However, every single major increase in the size of government over the size of my wallet has come at the hands of left wing politicians.
