Keeled over means collapsed. Not die.
Yeah. It’s a pretty disrespectful term to use. It would be like saying he kicked the bucket in the thread title had he not survived.
Which is why it was edited from keeled over to collapses

I understand your triggering and will bow out of it

If there’s one thing I am it’s respectful

Honestly, I'm surprised this stuff doesn't happen more often. I mean the size of these O/L and D/L guys. Plus, their speed. Yikes! Look, you get hit by a 5.0 sec 325 6'5" monster; something will give.
Anyway, the news on Damar is encouraging. Gotta keep praying.

What’s the latest on his condition this morning?
Posted on 1/4/23 at 10:38 am to tigerinthebueche
ESPNs article from this morning said his oxygen levels improved overnight

Per Jordon and Damar’s family, doctors overnight got promising readings that they had been hoping to see by this morning. Jordon couldn’t go into specifics, but progress appears to be made.

A lot of that has to do with him being in a RotoProne bed... Hope he improves when supine.

"In stable condition" I dont see that on the googles
I can't find anything indicating his condition has been upgraded to stable.

Just curious — are you assuming he’s in that type bed and not supine?

From a medical perspective it's done via Rotoprone bed. This allows lungs to expand w/ less effort since the heart is not lying on it. It is used for multiple medical and traumatic injuries.

Didn’t catch that part. Thanks.

There’s a tweet going around that he’s awake and showing signs of improvement.

I replied to it. “Neurologically intact” implies that they:
1) woke him up (from a med-induced sleep/coma)
2) asked him to wiggle this foot, squeeze with that hand, and nod yes/no to questions (maybe) that he answered appropriately.
ETA: he reportedly was writing questions on a clipboard (the first was “did we win?”) last night. LINK

Can you imagine, when Hamlin regains consciousness and can process what happened?
Dude was in the thoughts, prayers, intentions of millions, his charity went over $5,000,000, and was non-stop sports news.
Very humbling IMO.
It was a terrible incident, but, still encouraging to see a lot of good in people at the same time.
