Yeah I know the Indian thing is literally past 5-10 years.
I looked at demographics of high schools in Dallas about 7 years ago and they were more normal

I have to keep reminding her, this Dallas. There is nothing to just do.
Really? A city with millions of people, a football, a baseball, a basketball, and a hockey team, many nice public golf courses, music venues, etc. and you can find nothing to do?

I think some of the charm of living in DFW has kind of worn off. 15 years ago you could buy a nice home for 350,000, have access to lots of great employers, pay no state income tax, and send your kid to a public school that was majority Caucasian and wasn’t gonna teach you any trans junk (not that people were even dwelling on that back then).
Now clearly, at least some of that has changed. Although the job market has only gotten better and there is still no state income tax.

I had relatives who lived there. They hated it bc of some of your reasons. Got out once kids graduated. Can’t help you with the dogs, lol. Every good person should have several. Texas overall isn’t the great state folks think it is. Maybe at one time, but not now.

It’s better than Houston.

I love when people make blanket statements when they live in one city of the whole state. The state is MASSIVE and has every climate and topography you can get.
Just a reminder, Fifteen of the smallest US states could fit within Texas simultaneously including Kentucky, Virginia, Indiana, Maine, South Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Hawaii, Connecticut, Delaware, and Rhode Island
I love finding new spots when i travel around. Beautiful hill country areas and 9,000 foot peaks in the Davis Mountains in Big Bend National Park. Even Pal Duro Canyon in the Panhandle is awesome.
Garner State Park outside San Antonio is one of my fav spots.

Whatever dude. I tried the spicy ketchup at whataburger on a road trip. Average at best so, Texas sucks.

I feel like all the natives live in flower mound, colleyville, or aledo.
Southlake feels maybe 50% locals and that’s a good balance. I’d never live anywhere east of the big airport. I enjoy having space.
