This is a correct statement. Plano is too close to Dallas and going downhill fast.

No it isn't

Don't worry, btw, me too and I know the area well. Plenty of undesirables up there.

Do you work for the prison lobby? Private prison lobby quite effectively for harder sentence structures for convicted criminals. They are making billions of dollars in revenue by keeping sentences longer and recidivism rates higher. Look how much the GEO Group spends on lobbying for legislation that benefits their bottom line. It is abhorrent.

No. I don’t have any connection with the “prison lobby”, or any other private prison company.

I worked as a probation and parole officer in Louisiana for 4 years before working as a federal probation officer for 21 years.

Where did you hear those talking points? You’ve been propagandize.

There are legitimate concerns about having private companies run prisons regarding treatment of inmates and having sufficient and effective programs, but those same concerns exist at state run prisons.

The most important factor in determining the quality of a prison, besides adequate funding, is having a good warden. That holds true for private and state facilities.

Knowing that there is no perfect solution, in my opinion, the best option would be a combination. A prison that is owned and operated by a private company under a strict contract, with DOC employee monitors on site, and state funded and staffed programming.

With state prisons, the weakness is the greater tendency to be wasteful and lazy. With private prisons, the weakness is the greater tendency to cut corners to save money and ignore inmate welfare. Either way, a good warden makes all the difference. A blend of control would add layers of accountability.

I have that one pocket but they never come south of nw hwy. Even then, my place is gated and patrolled 24/7. Neighbors to the right are middle aged with a daughter. Just moved from NYC and I suspect building a house, to the left, 2 mid 20s chicks who must be on daddy's card to afford it.

We better close off our Southern border at PGBT to keep the Dallas trash out.

If the only reason that you are born is because you are a vote for the democrats and a paycheck for your mom, you should have a free pass to commit crime.

This why I keep my guns locked up in a safe. So they don't run out and commit a violent crime.

But since my gun passed background checks they are pretty chill... We sometimes hang out and BBQ and shite.

Plano and Frisco will be fine for the foreseeable future and I'm sure will continue to prosper.....and strangely enough, Prosper is the next collin county boomtown. As for the idea development has passed the city of dallas by, that's an opinion that held water 20 years ago when I moved here. I am a Landscape Architect and all of my work was in the burbs back then. But Dallas has really turned around the last 10 years and I do quite a bit of commercial design work in town now. There are high rises being built all over Dallas plus all of the high end townhouse/condo development that is staggering in its quantity and is happening is areas that were barrios/ghettos just 5 years ago. Dallas is on the upswing just as the burbs are, unlike 20 years ago.
