Yes it is. The growth up DNT is bringing the people and the food. Being on top now, does not equal forever.

We can check this map out later in a year and see how we are doing. Ranking out the fine dining of DFW. 99% of Dallas fine dining is on 5% of the land area. Dallas does not have great food as a whole, a little sliver of rich people eat well

All those little dots at 121/DNT did not exist 5 years ago.

Once again, we can help you cross the border now, but do not wait too long.

Your entire position is irrelevant if you believe this.

Stay in your hipster bubble and we will stay in our Burb bubble.

That is because your premise is so broad. Food is better, ok what food.

We sure as hell have better grocery stores and that is food

Now do not take it all personally, pissing on Dallas is just a past time of some of us former residents. You will leave Dallas at some point, we all do and that is OK.

Dallas is voting in a new mayor soon and last I read it looked like Johnson was going to win. I could be wrong, but I recall he had support from both political sides. Has he said anything about the crime lately?

And not really on topic, but I recently read that something like 85% of property taxes come from north of I-30. What the hell can be done to help south of I-30?

You said

As an attempt at saying Frisco is building more high rises than Dallas. There's what, 2? I drove that stretch a couple weeks ago.

High rises are still going up at a much higher rate in Dallas and it's not even close. There are 3 more off the top of my head that haven't even broken ground yet in uptown/oak lawn.

You didn't like that answer so you called them "pretentious hipsters."

Napalm and gentrification.

The only one you have that Dallas doesn't is Market Street. We have 3 central markets so we win that too.

And that's fine, but being hyperbolic and disingenuous is the issue. You've all but just admitted you aren't logical in your stances.

Look, you dont need to get your panties in a tussle any time someone shits on Dallas proper.

Does my phrasing of pretentious hipsters hold no truth? It does.

More than two high-rises have gone up bud. Over a 5 year stretch, that area has seen more building than Dallas Proper can dream of.

I don't suppose this has anything to do with the mayor coming up with a new plan of not arresting people for committing crimes, right?

Bringing facts in to dispell baseless takes isn't getting panties in a tussle.

Does it change the factual status of the post it was in reply to?

Like what does this even mean?

You don't think Dallas has ever had development on par with what's happening in the burbs? The entire explosion of downtown/uptown development, victory park development centered around the AAC, TI and Fossil plants/HQ, etc.

That's absurd.

Now I know I can ignore your opinion on food in Dallas.

The center of your map is midcities btw. The top right is Dallas above I30 and is blue as hell.

At least try to go and eat down here before you act like you know the food scene. I lived in Frisco/McKinney for 2 years and still go up regularly. There are great spots go eat. But they aren't as plentiful and close as they are here. That's just the nature of the sprawl.
