What am I missing with the 4300 years claim? Wouldn't that automatically disprove this was Noah's ark IF it was found to be a boat?
Isn't the Noah's ark story from a LOT longer in the past? We have multiple civilizations in that area from 4300 years go. There was no flood.

Most mainline biblical scholars believe the story to be quite old. Not Job old, but older than the chronology might imply. But, if you go the straight up young earth OT genealogy route, the flood was c. 2300 BC or so.

I’m not taking this guy’s evidence as fact. But nor am I discounting it either. As I said, I find this intriguing and I want to see more evidence before making any conclusions.
Also, as I said, unlike many posting in this thread, I don’t need this thing to either be, or not be, Noah’s Ark. it’s obvious though from the high emotions being shown by some that it is indeed very important to them that this thing is, or isn’t, Noah’s Ark.

That's been going on at that site for a bit over five years. This organization likes to make pronouncements on the subject every year or so. Here's an article from 2025 from Answers in Genesis discussing their "most recent" lidar results and urging caution, being the site doesn't fit with the biblical story: LINK

If he claims it's from 4300 years ago, that should lead to an automatic discounting of the claims.
There are multiple major civilizations that we know exist 4300 years ago in the region of Mesopotamia and the Mediterranean Sea, the areas where that major flood would have had to occur. It's not possible to have a flood covering even that region at the time.
