By "going armed" do you mean with a supply of peptides in your pocket or a Glock?

There are bike lanes through out the entire city on every major street.

Get off of Bourbon Street and educate yourself so you won't sound like such an idiot.

This.

I think Nola is top ten now in the country with bike lanes. In addition to streets, there is the Lafitte Greenway, city park paths, river levee paths, lakefront paths, etc.

Oh so the streets aren't shite in Nola? haha. The length you people go to defend that City is why it is such a huge shite hole.

I see absolutely no reason anyone would ride a bicycle for fun on Bullard Avenue. The vests say they're from Kerrville, TX. I have spent time in Kerrville, TX and can state without question that Bullard Avenue is a third world country compared to Kerrville.

This route is part of a regular group ride in New Orleans. The Kerrville riders are probably originally from NO and riding with their old group or visiting friends who are regular riders in that group.

Yes there are a lot of shitty streets in Nola.
Feel better?
But to say you can't believe any are suitable to ride a bike on is just ignorant.
The same people probably think Nola is 85% black and full nothing but thugs and welfare queens

NO is absolutely a shithole, defended by people who cannot accept that actual fact.

NOLA is the 32nd most dangerous city in the WORLD.

The fricking WORLD!

The city is fricked up and does not deserve to be defended.

There are some horrible streets in New Orleans. Absolutely deplorable streets.

This isn't even debatable

I know there a good places to ride bikes.

It's the same in baton rouge, I should be able to ride my bike without fear of being run over by a drunk driver. Yet it happens too often.

Yep. That sucks.
A few years ago someone from out of state was here training for the half iron man and he got hit on a ride out toward Slidell and killed. Some fck job was speeding and plowed into the group.
And I expect the anti bike rednecks to be here soon slamming bikers.

My guess with this shooting was that a little dindo was trying to be cute and show his friends he could shoot this guy from a long distance
