Just like certain parts of the city give the entire city a black eye.

I plan to attempt the half Ironamn in NOLA this year. No way in hell I'm training out that way. Mostly because I live far away, but just I general, I'm not riding around that area. I'll stick to the trainer before I go ride 95% of Louisiana roads.

Why the hell are they cycling in the Ghetto?

BC that's where the city decided to invest most of its money for improving streets

Spent round. Why those morons insist on riding in town is beyond me. Load the bikes up and drive 15-20 minutes to much less traveled roads.

Looks like the ghetto to me. Specially the whole getting shot thing.

I would not bike in that neighborhood. Ever

People get shot in the best areas of this city. And that part of the east is a normal neighborhood. McKendell estates and eastover arent what they use to be, but they are both in that area.

Are you defending that neighborhood as not being a ghetto by saying people get shot anywhere in the city?

Damn. New Orleans is massively broken.

Never underestimate your fellow man's desire to kill you rather than be inconvenienced. Strap one on whenever possible.

First nola east defender I have ever seen. That may have not been the ghetto 20 years ago, but it certainly is now. Last time I was on Bullard I was legit scared because at a red light I was surrounded by a pack of thugs on atv's. The east isn't defendable anymore and you know it too

I think Nola is top ten now in the country with bike lanes.

Well, if getting shot is an acceptable example of "bike lane" access, then there's a lot of cities in the Middle East that need to be considered in the Top 10, too

What size caliber ?

Looks like he should have gone to Urban South for beers instead of playing on bikes
