1am and the old baw that lives next to me was cutting his damn grass with a headlight on. Mower fricking wide open.

He's in his 80s and quite possibly starting to lose his faculties but he just waved at us and kept mowing like nothing was going on

This is the level of zero fricks given that we should all hope to obtain one day. My hats off to the old man

I thought about starting a nocturnal lawn company. All electric, whisper quiet equipment. Mainly center on commercial properties, maybe a little residential. I hear they have them out west, around Phoenix..

I got out to cut mine at 8:30 yesterday (Saturday) morning and the wife, who was up said it was too early. I told her to get up at noon and do it herself. Guess who cut the grass-----Case closed.

I'm retired and will cut my grass at least 5 times a month in the summer and usually do so between 7:30-8:00 on weekdays and never before 8:30 on weekends.

Sometimes I'll wait until late in the evening right before dark if the grass is real wet in the mornings. I can cut, edge and clean up in under an hour.

Hoping the rain holds off in a BR for a little while as I need to run the mower over mine. 7:30 is too early but 8:30 is fine.

The man next to me used to cut his lot at night dragging two push mowers. No light. Pitch dark,in the rain.

He would come back in the daylight to catch what he would miss.

Well there are 24 hours in a day for people to get their stuff done before tomorrow rolls around. Why should daylight or darkness be a deciding factor on when you do it?

No kidding. There is no time for regrets that late in the game. Just do what you want to do.

There is a tropical system coming in and the grass needs cutting first. Early prepper.

You should have went inside got a couple beers and went offered him one. Good for old fella I hope I am still in good enough shape to do that into my 80's.

Been raining off and on in N.O. since last night. Enough so that the streets don't dry off.

I caught all kinds of hell growing up if I waited until Sunday to get the lawn mowed.

Just one of my mom's rules.

I’m more impressed he is up at 2:30am at 80. My grandparents go to bed at like 7:30pm. Maybe he just woke up lol

My guess is that he needed to get away from his wife.

If I were a dictator, mowing of grass in a residential neighborhood before the dew burns off (typically between 9 and 10 am) would be a crime punishable by death.

There are few things worse than some arsehole neighbor cranking up the mower at 6:00am on a Sunday after your long night of drinking.

My rights don't depend on your drinking habits, maybe become a adult and quit being a drunk.

God bless him if he can get up that early after a night of heavy drinking. My guess, he is a functioning alcoholic. Hangovers are for betas.
