It's been a good 20 years for me as well but a lot of my family still live in the area so I'm back pretty regularly.

Miss Elena is about as authentic Mexican as you can get. The food there leans more toward the Mex than the Tex and I have rarely found better. The super nachos there will feed a family.

Beaumont actually has much better music scene than lake Charles but the Golden nugget is helping out now

Would you plan on owning a house in Beaumont? You'd be saving those income taxes and spending 5X that on property taxes.
I lived in blowmont for 2 years. Worst city I've ever lived in. When I moved to Baton Rouge I was just shocked of all the hotties. You could go for days without seeing a good looking chick in Beaumont.
