I have a feeling this show is going the way of typical reality tv. Fake drama, and off screen dealings.

Well, when dealing with actual deals. It’s not like they can possibly nail down all the details in. 3 minute “deal” I’m sure some deals fall apart when they get down to the small stuff

Nothing like making money off of your dead parents.

It’s a good product and the Sharks were nice to collaborate.

Having a tear- jerker story helps too.

As soon as I said, man they are really milking this cancer story.

You find out the father got it then died.
Jesus, what A horrible human I am.

I’m actually watching in on Hulu right now. Love me some Shark Tank. This story had me tearing up for sure. My other favorite is that farmer the tree teepee pitch.

’ve been binging Shark Tank and I’m coming to this realization. I Google the businesses after seeing if they got a deal or not and it’s hit or miss whether they actually signed a deal after the show. A lot of the ones who ‘got a deal’ on the show never sign an actual deal and are out of business.

Most of the deals probably never really work out. In a interview with Mark Cuban they asked him if he actually made money on the shark tank deals, he said a few of them have been profitable, but overall he has lost money.

Supposedly, the pitches can last up to 2 hours, and they are edited down to 5-10 minutes for the show. So, they do go into more detail, but not possibly enough for a 6-figure deal. There is a due diligence phase that’s done after any “deal” on the show that lets the sharks dig into the business more and walk away or change the terms of the offer. If it falls through, it’s usually due to the entrepreneur not accurately disclosing debt, or some other irregularity. I once saw a ranking of all the sharks based on whether or not deals made on the show actually got signed. I can’t remember everyone but I know Robert was last.

I saw an interview with Mark Cuban where he talked about deals falling apart afterwards.

They made a deal with a woman and then discovered her husband was a 'sovereign citizen' who did not believe in paying taxes.

They owed tens of thousands in back taxes. Safe to say that deal did not go through.

Plenty fall apart just because people take the offer on the show and then decide they dont want the deal.

It’s a better strategy to take the deal and then decide if it really works.
