Why is Rachael Maddow culturally appropriating the young white male haircut?

I hate to have to defend this because I dont agree with the whole cultural appropriation thing is stupid and I don't agree with it at all.
But the issue is that for a long time it was seen as unprofessional for black women to wear their natursl hair. Many black women have gotten picked on for their hair simply not being natutally straight. Many women feel like they have to straighten their hair in order to beautiful.
Personally, I think people should wear their hair however they please. If black women want to straighten their hair. Go right ahead. If white women want to wear cornrows or dreads go right on ahead. Neither one should ever be a problem.
No culture owns anything really. Culture is always shifting. Culture is always being influenced by other things. There should be nothing wrong with that.

Your examples are more cultural exchange than they are cultural appropriation.

Blacks didnt invent braids or dreads.
Anyone who never washed their hair and were scum eventually formed dreads.

if one aspect of cultural appropriation is , Caucasian women wearing braids, then why isn't it cultural appropriation for women of color to straighten their hair and color it blond and orange ?

White people can never be victims with the exception of women who are “victims” with a few exceptions. For example men competing against women in sports is ok because men who identify as women “deserve” greater protections.
