I’ve been on 3. All on Seabourn. Smallish vessel. The first two had 225 cabins and the last one 300. Very nice ship. I don’t think I could do a cruise on one of those big ships

Ours was “smallish” compared to some docked next to us. I think 1600 or so cabins (3200 or so people).

Has anyone taken a cruise with MSC? Their new ships are magnificent and cheaper than RC, Disney, Norwegian. MSC also doesn’t have the Carnival culture yet.

I mean if you have kids it's probably the best option.

I don't think they're marketing to single young adults.

It is a great way to see southern Alaska. We took Norwegian and I was very suspect of going. The trip was great, including food, room and scenery.

I am currently at JFK heading to Iceland for our second cruise on Viking. I am certain it will be epic.
Pick your trips wisely.

Have done inland passage Alaska cruise and a 3 day Caribbean on carnival. 2 different experiences and 2 way different price points. No issues on either. But they were 20yrs apart.

I got an invite to take an evening cruise in Amsterdam next month. Should be fun.

Viking or other upscale, yes. Walmart on the water, no thanks. Wouldn't go for free.

I’ve never been on one before and really have no desire to. But, me and the Mrs. are doing a seven day Alaska cruise on Princess in mid-September with some other couples. Zero expectations at this point.

Big nay. I don't drink and I have no desire to be stuck on a boat with drunks.

Highly dependent on where you port out of and which cruise line you’re on.

We did carnival out of Nola and 18 people were arrested for fighting.

We did NCL out of Seattle to Alaska and it was super nice.

We just got back from MSC cruise on Seascape. Went to private island in Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman.

We were not sure what to expect, be we were pleased overall.

It helped that the weather was really good.

Royal Caribbean and Norwegian were great experiences for me. Southern Caribbean and Alaska trips respectively.

Seeing some of these cruises where people are packed like cattle, I'd rather bathe in acid.

Cruises are for people that think going to Mexico is exotic.

Nay, unless it’s a river cruise in Europe.

If just recently experiencing for yourself didn’t give you a good feel for it I’m not sure the responses in this thread will.
