Funny, this actually happened to me on I-12 a few years back near the theater. Big arse tire too. Had to slam on my brakes to avoid it.

But the craziest thing I saw while driving to Houston right outside of Lake Charles. Three people were running frantically around a car on the shoulder trying to push it. As I get closer I see a good fire underneath the car. I wanted to stop but then I thought...what if this thing exploded while I was helping them push, so I just kept going.

I do about 50k miles a year.

I’ve seen plenty, but my biggest holy shite moment was an 18 wheeler

hauling multiple cars had one hanging off the back where the back car’s tires were on the ground rolling.

The axle broke off that car and a tire snapped off and went to the right of the truck. I passed to get around and that tire rolled next to me on the shoulder for a mile and then went and landed in the ditch.

Saw a head on collision literally 50 yards in front of me.. The girl had zoned out on Xanax and drove in the wrong lane about 3 miles before she ran head on into a Mountaineer.

Also saw an armadillo laying on its back drinking a beer, that was cool.

I was relaxing at the end of A1A before it was Mallory square in Key West . It was just a turn around. All of a sudden this station wagon was hauling arse , had to be going 60-70 mph and drove straight through the signs into Gulf Stream. As the car was sinking, tons of junk started floating out of the car and up pops an old dude . Very entertaining watching the cops talking him off the roof while it was floating away sinking.

Your ability to see 5o years into the future most likely deserves its own thread

One day I was driving on the interstate or two lane roads and: while passing a slower vehicle on the right driving over on the interstate over the speed limit I was not tailgated; at a merge lane into the interstate, I moved into the left lane and the person merging allowed me to quickly return to the right lane, which allowed me to escape without being aggressively tailgated; driving in New Orleans on I10, and not having vehicles from lanes to the right and left attempting to connect on my lane in front of me; slowing down on a two lane road and stopping at a traffic light and not being hit by tail gaiters (which happened to me three times and once by my wife -- no pics available but she is attractive); while driving down a two-lane road such as Hwy 308 with no shoulder and many curves, not being tailgated by aggressive young men and women; while driving Hwy 24 (a two-lane road) between Larose and Klondye, no one in the other lane tried to pass while I was nearby in the other lane (I missed a head on collision once by a few inches when an idiot tried to pass in a curve with no view of the opposing lane); driving down Hwy 308 in Larose and slowing down to make a left turn, and no aggressive idiot at a speed of 70 mph did not drive past me on the left lane and narrowly avoiding a severe accident with probable fatalities to me and my then young daughter; driving on I310 towards Hwy 90, and not have a BAW driver in a pickup truck entering I310 from the 4lane to Vacherie driving about 80-90 mph and narrowly missing have a collision with me.

I could provide many other examples, but I have made my point -- anyone who feels they have the right to grossly exceed the speed limit, aggressively tailgate, or make aggressive mistakes to pass other vehicles and endanger innocent women, men, and children should spent some time in jail.
