That was a hot mess.

If I knew what they put in that I wouldn’t eat it.

I suspect this is for “clicks” only for the shock value. They are likely succeeding at that.

Little excess on all the extras but I’d eat it .

Understand what you mean but nobody is using 50 gallons of water to boil a sack of crawfish

I’m not a duster either
Seems to me the garlic and dusting at end was way overboard

That was the worst batch of crappy crawfish boiling I’ve seen in quite a while!

Too many bad issues to list

but

things I would do
have a strong enough burner to get to a rolling boil
Never put greasy sausage and butter in
Add salt/seasoning based on desired taste of the water
Bring water to a boil for 2-3 minutes after dumping live crawfish in
Floating crawfish need to be iced to quickly absorb liquid and sink.

over cooking, insufficient salt/seasoning, grease must be avoided

Why do people feel the need to add so much stuff. It's not like I cook a steak and make sides of green beans, potatoes, sausage, ravioli, pineapple, corn, mushrooms okra, etc. because I can't make a decision .....and then pour butter on top of it all.

I get some people like the extras, so no issue adding a few. But just make some decisions.

Coating the crawfish with margarine "squeeze butter" should put people on a registry.

Sausage has never been an issue. I usually use Double D mild, The pineapple sausage you can get at Rouses is outstanding in the boil. I wasn't a fan of the blueberry.

Frozen corn on top is sufficient; no need to waste the ice especially on a hot day with plenty of beer to keep cold.

I’m going to try the magnesium citrate tip a little later today at mine. Will report back (if I don’t end up in jail as a result).

My question is, if it’s to clean them out, did they reclean the cooler out or did the crap just pool up at the bottom and get mixed in with it all??

Watching that video is the equivalent of those toilet cleaning videos, where they just dump a bunch of different cleaners into the bowl for no reason other than for likes and clicks.

Jarred minced garlic is disgusting. I couldn't watch the rest after that.

The worst part is, someone not from south LA would think this is how you actually boil crawfish.

We do a huge mud bug & shrimp boil every summer, with a trailer full of Louisiana’s finest. Simplicity at it’s finest, we only use a pot for the bugs and use turkey pans on the grill for the shrimp. We do not dust, seasoned boil and potatoes & Mo. corn. Lots of ice cold beer, in salted ice water, of course, baws
