People who don't know how to merge

This.

I’m constantly screaming (literaly) “You merge with the ACCELERATOR - it’s the f@%king pedal on the RIGHT!!!”

So what drizes me crazy while on the road is people who can’t properly merge - what drives my wife crazy while on the road is me yelling at people while my windows are rolled up.

That's 4 minutes and 30 seconds too long. If you're in the left lane, you better be passing or get your arse in the right hand (and correct) lane.

Left lane assholes piss me off more than anything. Especially after living in Germany for four years where people take that shite seriously. I about lost it the first time I got on the interstate after getting back to the states.

People slowing down to almost a stop to merge into the turning lane.

People that won’t pass

They’ll be going 60
Car in front going 50
They’ll slow down to 48

Backup ensues

Pisses me the F off

That or when they pull out in front of you to where you have to brake at all, as in they didn't judge the gap correctly. Worse than that are the ones who take it a step further and proceed to never get up to the speed limit.

That pisses me off the most. If you turn onto a roadway, the vehicle that is now to your rear should not have to even touch their brakes to accommodate you. If you then proceed to only go 45 in the 55 zone, you're a pos who should die in a fire.

In all aspects of life I'm pretty collected and keep an even keel. But this one thing will drive me unexplainably fricking bezerk.

Folks that slow down to make a right turn in the traffic lane when there is a full shoulder not filled with debris.

Sitting on an exit ramp that’s backed up, having crept up slowly. Right as I get to the front, a car flies up, bypassing the whole line and wants to cut in the front.

This is the angriest I get in my existence.

frickers on their cell phones.

frickers on their cell phones, driving on the interstate, going way too slow, slowly drifting into the lane next to them, until they realize it, then quickly jerking back into their lane.

frickers on their cell phones at a light, not realizing that the light turned green.

frickers on their cell phones while driving, constantly tapping on their brakes, because they're not paying enough attention to the road to know if the car in front of them is slowing down.

And a huge pet peeve of mine; when you're in traffic on the interstate, and people jump into the on-ramp lane to try and get 2 car lengths ahead in stand-still traffic. When I see people attempting that, I'll pull my truck into the lane to keep them from passing me.

People looking for a reason to stop...... in stead of looking for a reason to go......
And lately idiots with no headlights on well after dusk.

When you're merging onto the interstate and the guy behind you cuts out across the paint and gets into traffic before you're supposed to to try to go around you.

I will do this if there isn't traffic to merge into and you are about to be to the interstate and still only going 50 mph. Point of the on and off ramps being a decent length is to conduct all acceleration/deceleration on the ramp. When on the interstate, you should be at the interstate speed limit.

This drives me crazy when there is plenty of space behind me to merge. But no, some just have to wedge themselves into a tight spot.

When I'm using the on ramp properly by getting up to speed to merge, then the a-hole on the interstate won't move over to the other lane or slow down 2 mph to let me on as I'm running out of merge lane.

Also, people that have no idea what side of the road to be on when making a u-turn on a divided road.

People who think that driving at a high rate of speed over a short distance will save them significant time. I guess the perception of "Car go fast, I arrive sooner" outweighs basic math.

1) Atlanta drivers (Anyone who lives near Atlanta fully understands)
2) San Jose, CA drivers (Weed is legal there and you can tell it when the guy in front of you doing doing all of seven miles per hour)
3) Ohio drivers (They pass you on the interstate, then pull back into your lane and immediately slow down)
4) Essentially, anyone other than ME who happens to be on the road.

In reference to #4, I've actually seen a few extremely good and courteous drivers on the roads. Some of them may seem to be driving excessively fast at first, but then you see how they still show courtesy to others who share the road with them as they make an effort to avoid causing confusion in traffic. The drivers that have that glazed-eyeball stare that says, "lights on, but no one is home" are the ones that cause the issues.

Turn on my signal. The guy behind me swings over and floors it so I can't get over. Then he passes me and...moves into the far right lane.

This is why I dont use my turn signal in that instance.

People passing me to get in front of me only to slow down. Drives me crazy. Even worse is when I pass them back up....whilst on cruise control, and then they do the same shite.

People who don't use their cruise control irritate me a lot.
