I started using castor oil to help with arthritis. It did help with inflammation and pain but I was surprised at how much better my hands were overall.

When my hands get dried out like that I cover them in vaseline and lotion and sleep with my hands in cotton gloves.

Working Hands is great. So is Bag Balm that they use for livestock. It’s Lanolin I think. Get this at a drugstore usually.

O'Keefe's is my go-to this time of year when my hands dry out and tend to split at the fingertips and sometimes across the knuckles.

It works well in healing the split skin pretty fast and the added benefit is after it is rubbed in, my hands don't feel oily and my grip actually improves considerably, which is a plus.

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Dry Hand and Body Cream
.

Came here to say this- I put it on at night before bed. It's very thick, and it doesn't take much- not even dime size, and i'll add a couple drops of water to help it spread.

Stay away from CeraVe as well.

We use Aquaphor.

This. Also came here to say this. I apply it just before climbing into bed, then put on some thin cotton gloves I found at the pharmacy, to keep the stuff from rubbing onto the sheets. My hands are baby bottom soft in the morning. May have to use it every night during a cold spell, but one tube usually lasts me more than a year, since we don’t get cold that often here.
