You’ve never been to a crawfish boil, have you?

Ever been pinched by a crab? How hard to they grab? I'm sure it doesn't feel good, but is it really that painful?

It doesn't feel good when they get you good.

They have a crusher and a slicer/cutter when it comes to claws.

One got me on the thumb when I was a kid. His pincher went through my fingernail by the time my parents broke his claw off. It was extremely painful. They can put out a lot of force with those claws.

I personally suffocate each crab with a pillow.

The smaller the crab the more it hurts. Unless it's the size of a quarter

Dumb arse got what he deserved for not knowing how to cook crabs. Gotta cool them off first if not they will just about all drop their pinchers in the pot. Also a blue crab will make you bleed and they are surprisingly fast. They don’t f around

First, you don't boil them here you steam them.

Second those guys are morons and that pot is way too small.

Enjoying the break. Wife and me are in Florida at my mom's condo. Last weekend former company was down to 8 rigs all in the Haynesville. They completely pulled out of the Permian. I am just wondering how long this will go on. I've been staying in touch with David Gibson. He has a lot of good contacts and insight into the industry.

Yea it's pretty disheartening. Might have found me a new career this morning. Light field work mixed with some office work. Actually excited. Hopefully I get a chance as I had a good feel when I went in and met everyone.

I'm no crustacean expert, but common sense tells me lobster > crab > crawfish. And I really don't want any part of a big crawfish latched onto my finger.
