Oh I agree. People are idiots. And it's situations like this that shows exactly how dangerous social media can be.
As for as the death threats, anyone who takes something that doesn't involve them specifically, so personal that they decide to send death threats are useless. People send death threats to players if they cost their team a game, to coaches, etc, etc.
But as for as this situation, whatever media outlet first reported it should take responsibility for reporting it, but that's the world we live in. It's not about what actually happened, it's about what can get more clicks, retweets, likes, etc.

Something else that is lost in all this is the original video. It was obviously edited to make it look like the kid was the one completely in the wrong. So whoever made that video intentionally misled the viewer.
If anything happens to this kid, the person that made the video should be held accountable.

That video is the typical mindset of some, if not most democrats. Constantly the man filming the video calls the kids racist for wearing MAGA hats, yet he repeatedly spews racist slangs at them, makes fun of their skin color, while saying they are probably going to shoot up a shcool one day. Maybe they are investigating like they, and everyone involved, should have done in the first place. You are a person that is full of hate. The division in this country is fueled by people like you. Wow you have gleaned a lot from brief snippets on an anonymous online forum. That would be like me assuming you are an aggrieved, smug, entitled white person.
Having looked at additional info, there were several bad actors. In fact, perhaps these tomahawking students weren’t the worst. Never said they should be expelled, denied college admission, or receive death threats. Yes there are sick people of all political stripes. While I have an inexpressible amount of sadness in my heart at the sight of young, presumably Christ-seeking youth wearing Donald Trump hats, I don’t want to see these students’ lives permanently affected. There is a lesson to be learned. Of course, in this age of banal social media, there is overreaction on both sides.
