I’m insinuating there are knee-jerk reactions that go both ways. These students showed their asses and deserve to be called-out. Not expelled, not threatened. The school and diocese called out their behavior. Let’s leave it at that. As with most discussions like this, the comments are very telling... and people who claim not to be racists are shown to be exactly that. But I shouldn't make character judgments based upon brief snippets. So have a nice day.

Oh, really? Sorry to break it to you, I get annoyed with ignorance and classlessness. Never race. I grew up in the ghetto of Baton Rouge. I don't hate, I expect ALL people to act with kindness. You supporting people who want violence done to a child is crazy. The kid in the video stood there, doing nothing. You decided he was being "disrespectful" off a clip. Turns out, an adult got in his face and the child handled it really well. You, have a day.

this lashing out sounds like it's not really about social justice. it's just about some form of payback. which is fine if you feel that way. just say it. it's similar to people latching on to the alton sterlings of the world even when confronted with sometimes overwhelming evidence. that's when you get comments like above and the classic, "at least it started a conversation."
it's the same reason that some people celebrated OJ's acquittal. it was an opportunity to lash out and deliver a f*ck you to white people.
