Looking back at it 6 years later, I can't believe that people tolerated the lockdowns.

Like had you even heard of the idea of disease lockdowns in 2019? Then all of a sudden in 2020, the lockdowns are all over the world.

What did lockdowns mean before 2020? Oh yeah, a controversial practice in prison that caused controversy when you even did it to prisoners.

A lot of money was stolen from those lockdowns.

Everyone else were either useful idiots or slaves to a society gone retarded.

There’s part of the lockdowns
I actually miss. No traffic and almost 0 face-to-face interactions and that social distancing thing wasn’t all bad either

Too much faith in the mainstream media that pumped out false numbers supplied by medical staffs across the country.

Pretty easy to see why people were scared.

People were adequately scared, and the news did everything to make it seem as terrifying as possible.

Hindsight is easy to judge, but in the moment, people tolerated the quarantine because you just didn’t know how bad it was going to be.

But the lockdown was definitely magnitudes worse than the virus.

The whole thing was so arbitrary and performative. Put a mask on to enter a resturant but take it off at your table.

You could order food at a table but not a bar...then at a bar but you had to order food.

They just made it up as they went and some people followed it as gospel

I wore a “company approved” neck/face gaiter as my mask in the office for ~2 years. Last week I was using it while cutting the grass and I got damn near every dirt and dust particle in my mouth.

Whole thing was a fricking farce. The world collectively lost its mind in early to mid March and Rudy Gobert’s dumb arse touching all the microphones at a press conference kicked it all off.

You antisocial weirdos can stay home and play video games with or without lockdowns.

It was hell on earth for the rest of us who actually like other people.

the face covering was part of this nonsense, but I remember we couldn’t eat in restaurants. If they had a patio outside that was fine, but not inside.

But if it was “essential” business you could sit inside next to other people. What a weird time…

Not all of us, some of us said FU fire me, and then found better jobs when the company didn’t because they couldn’t afford to lose all the people they would have needed to fire….looking at you NextEra.

I didn’t take it as disrespectful, I just know it robbed my daughter of her senior year of high school and first semester of LSU. I hated that for her.

COVID Lockdowns
In my little central Alabama town, a city cop actually made two teenage boys stop throwing a football to each other, go home and confine themselves. Opened my eyes to just how many sheep are among us. The absolute stupid shite we subjected ourselves to, without blowing up at authority still has me shaking my head.
