Just realized it's been about 2 weeks since they updated the presumed recovered numbers. I am assuming by the fact that it's no longer available on ldh's site, the number is way too low.

Yeah they decided to stop reporting it. Didn't want people back calculating the small amount of active cases.

Pay attention to people on social media, and you'd think we were still in the midst of the worst of covid. These people are clamoring, and begging the government to keep them locked away. I just don't get that mindset.

I had a pt last week whose husband died of covid.

Not how you think though...

He was scheduled to have an angioplasty/stenting of his heart. On his pre-op testing he was covid positive, completely asymptomatic.

He had to delay the procedure 2 weeks. He died of a heart attack 3 days before the new procedure date.

Was there ever a hospital working out of tents in Louisiana?

They set up a canvas top tent so they can do drive-thru testing in my area. But nothing like that was ever needed for the hospitals.

They quietly closed and sold off all the hospital covid overrun tents in the convention center, if that helps.

My husband had a whole surgery last week in a BR hospital. No covid test at all.
