A certain group lost all credibility when they only allowed three people to attend a funeral but it was a ok to walk hand in hand and gather thousands together at blm rallies

what group said it was OK for thousands to gather at BLM rallies during covid? or that only 3 people were allowed at funerals? I went to a funeral in 2020 and there were certainly more than 50 people there. we did the service outdoors.

I thought the stance on BLM protests was generally "yeah this is gonna spread the virus" but they protested anyway.

sorta like people still going to grocery stores and other businesses that were open.

Look we all know it was a real virus and did propose some health risk. We are just pissed because it didn’t warrant shutting down the entire country and stalling out the best economy this country had ever seen.

And it was done on purpose.

1% may be a low number but if you were to wake up tomorrow and hear that you and your family have a 1/100 chance of dying, you still don’t feel too good about it.

Come on,man. I'm too stupid to know what's true with COVID either way but I do know that according to the op it's 1% of 1%

Where the hell is all of this new Covid mania coming from? I'm seeing a lot of anti-lockdown and anti-mask talk on here, when I don't really see anyone trying to push lockdowns or masks anymore.

Before hitting submit I Googled "Covid 2023 US Lockdown" and now I see it's just Alex Jones causing a stir and getting his followers worked into a frenzy that there will be lockdowns and forced masks again.

My take on it...COVID will continue to be around, but the virus is doing what viruses do. They become more transmissible and less fatal. You think people weren't scared 5hitless of flu season after the Spanish Flu swept through in 1918? Even for a couple of years, the flu strain was extremely deadly. Sure, the flu kills people ever year now...but it has mutated to the extent that it rarely causes pandemic responses. COVID will be the same way...there will be people dying from it as long as it is around...but it will become less and less deadly as time goes on.

only 1%

And that is a stretch. Would be much less if a number of democrat governors didnt send infected people into nursing homes with thousands of at risk patients who ultimately died.

Not to mention the treatment protocol (remsdivir) has known side effects of shutting down the kidneys. Glad they finally approved horse paste here recently.

It was a fail of epic proportions. Government should have no business in public health sector... and neither should LSUPride

The 1% was for the week ending August 19th, not the entire pandemic.

NYT

quote:

Soon the streets nationwide were full of tens of thousands of people in a mass protest movement that continues to this day, with demonstrations and the toppling of statues. And rather than decrying mass gatherings, more than 1,300 public health officials signed a May 30 letter of support, and many joined the protests.

Please tell me how I felt about the lockdowns and restrictions

I was one of the few that said the initial “two weeks” was a bad idea.

Yeah that's bullshite. There were tons of articles pushing nonsense like "actually BLM protests made transmission go DOWN!" I'm all about being truthful with this COVID stuff but that means calling out the blatant lies from both sides.

You pushed the shot. You are part of the tyranny problem.

THOUSANDS of people have lost their jobs over that damn useless shot that people like you advocated that people that didnt get it should be ostracized.

You are the problem with society.

Nope. I 100% do not think the shout should have ever been mandated. If individual companies and such choose to do that, that’s on them. But the government should not force any company or individual to take the shot or require the shot

quote:

You are the problem with society.
That would be you, an angry irrational individual that attributes false narratives and lies to someone if they don’t go along with every batshit insane thing you think

The fact you can’t separate “the shot isn’t dangerous” to “EVERYONE SHOULD BE FORCED TK GET IT” shows the lack of depth in modern times

Crawfish however you see fit, my guy. You will be forever remembered as the guy pushing for mass vaccination. You failed to read the room.

pride has been pretty adamantly anti mandate as long as I can remember these threads happening. His argument is that they aren't dangerous (and neither is COVID, for a huge majority) but that no one should have to get them.

He and others like him are too tribal. 100% fall lock step with every thought they have or they attribute you to a 100% villain.

MRNA enthusiast and noted Anthony Fauci superfan Jake88 is one of the most boosted posters on TD. It's very funny to me how he constantly defends Fauci and big pharma.
