What a clown. Especially considering it’s obvious the “vax” doesn’t stop transmission.

Nope - we got back together as soon as we could and back to normal as soon as we could in my circle of friends.

I do have one very close friend whose Mom and sister are still locked up in their house with masks on, and he complies when he's around them but lives his life like the rest of us otherwise.

I have friends who got it and friends who didn't. I chose to get it, after talking to my doctor, and I think everyone should make their own choice and respect the choices of others. It's pretty clear now that the virtues of the shots were heavily over sold. To cut someone out of your life over this? Nah. You can't lose what you never had.

I know you’re probably right. But this hit me particularly hard because I really never would’ve expected it. I mean, we continued to live life, interact with people. The reactions we got when we said we were still having birthday parties for our kids were insane.

There are times when I miss that knowledge and interaction you have with people you’ve known your whole life, that know where you came from and experienced so much together. Years of experience that can’t be replaced. And that’s all gone now. I’m sad and frustrated at the same time.

Mainly it’s kids. Kids are so wonderful people focus their life around them. People with kids the same age will become closer friends than their best friend from before kids.

Focus on getting everyone together once a year. Start group chats over anything funny or interesting you run across that is in any way related to the group.

One of my brother in laws/SIL got straight up weird about it and still is. They were visiting a couple weeks ago and stayed with my wife and I. They'd pretty much wake up and go outside, wouldn't hang around in the house or go in to stores/restaurants without a mask. Both of them are in great shape. It's hard to get them to do anything because they are worried about covid.

It’s just shocking to me how easily people are willing to isolate themselves from the world. You only get one life and you spend it sitting in your house without any interaction.

I honestly don't think this is even remotely common...probably less than 1/2 of 1 percent at this point...truly crazy people.

I have friends that did this and looking back it seems Covid was the excuse for them to finally not have to be social anymore
same, but family members, not friends

much of this country had been slowly creeping into a wall-e existence and covid rapidly accelerated it and gave a lot of people a reason to just be sedentary, anti-social slobs

Propaganda is effective. COVID was/is the biggest propaganda campaign in history.

Over a virus with a 99.8% survival rate. Even now knowing lockdowns, masks, and jabs did absolutely nothing to stop or slow Covid, people still continue to boost, wear masks, and isolate.

Soft men create hard times.

I would never have been friends with the type of subhuman that believed in the not real vaccine or was a masked covidian.

So no problems.

That's so true.
I think back.
The authoritarian scum were so giddy about shutting things down.

People were locked indoors. Subjected to gaslighting from the media. Calling "unvaccinated" "unpatriotic" etc.

Weak minded people, followers etc.
It's easy to see how people could be broken.

this...I lost a sister, not to Covid but because she was using Lysol on her mail a year after the scamdemic. She eventually cut ties with us. Sa la vie. Live in your bubble.

Like all cult members the Branch Covidians are not reasonable thinking people. If the government told them to drink the Flavor Aid........ they would without hesitation

Given the vaccine does not actually stop you from getting it why not just lie to him?
