So, you'll have him get it when it is approved, right?

I would defer to their pediatrician's advice

Right? Shocking that I'd listen to the advice of their pediatrician and my uncle that is a doctor. Both of my kids also wanted to get it.

No, we won’t. I made the point that the vaccine isn’t even fully approved yet because that is a good reason to not use it for kids,

Another good reason is that I don’t fricking trust them.

ETA to clarify, it’s leadership advocating that kids have to be vaccinated NOW with a vaccine that hasn’t been studied long enough in adults that I don’t trust. I am not anti vaccine at all.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other, but I'm borderline addicted to the FB comments on any article about youth vaccinations. Watching the psychopaths on both sides duke it out is second only to the vaccine arguments on RonaDroppings.

Its a terrible point, because you wouldn't get it regardless of "approved" status.

You guys bring that point up in every thread, and in every thread I ask "Well when its approved will you get it?"

Instead of using a disingenuous argument, just say "I will never get this vaccine".

If you want to give whatever wackjob facebook meme you want as the reason do it. "Authorization" is a dumb one.

Kids are pretty safe from covid to begin with. I personally wouldn't vaccinate my kid.

If the Covid vaccine is approved for children would you get your kids vaccinated?

If they were 8 or older probably, but all 3 are under 5. That's a tough one. Maybe the oldest after I see a lot more data/public usage without really bad side effects.

Absofrickinglutely and those that don't are morons.

All things approved, Yes. Also yes on the flu shot. The flu can be really dangerous for little kids.

Same here. One of mine was hospitalized for one night with the flu when she was 8 or 9. scary stuff.

No’s are from the boonies so it makes complete sense for someone that is isolated with one dollar general and a boost mobile.

They are, but they can still be spreaders of it. That's the main reason we chose to vaccinate ours. We have some elderly family members that would have a rough time with Covid. Luckily, they've all been able to avoid it so far.

They can certainly still spread it with the vaccine, but it greatly reduces those chances.

Maybe. I don't have children, so how old would these hypothetical children be?

0-11 years: Probably not
12+: Yes

This is also assuming that a variant that is dangerous to children does not pop up.

That isn’t true. I’ve been vaccinated. I simply see no point in giving it to my young child who has already had COVID until there has been further study. It’s that simple.
