More testing=more cases.
I have rarely seen such an abuse of incomplete data used as a tool for decision making.

Double the number of cases on the day we could have re opened?
Yeah that doesn't smell fishy at all

I heard that this will last another 18 to 24 months. The pandemic is just getting started. I heard that from a guy on CNN. 60-70% of the population will have to be infected. I heard that.

Yes, way more testing everyday. Why isn’t this data factored in ???

People are fed up. Doesn't matter what the numbers are or what JBE or Latoya say anymore

It isn’t and that is the heart of the problem.
As many have said tracking hospitalizations, fatalities, and those who are using ventilators are better indicators of the effect of the virus on the population.
But, those are all trending downward so total cases are the big numbers they need to show the “spread” is still upon us and danger is near.
This is hogwash pure and simple.

I’m super for reopening this up. IMO the CFR just isn’t high enough among non vulnerable populations to justify this. Let people choose not to go anywhere but work and home if they want, let others go to bars and restaurants and everything.
That being said, these numbers would be right in line with an Easter upsurge. It’s about just under three weeks from Easter. It was about three weeks after Mardi Gras that we saw the numbers reflect Mardi Gras.
Again, don’t think it matters in terms of reopening. But there is a very rational explanation that isn’t faking the numbers
