Saw one of the COA vans at Benny’s today getting the full detail treatment. So glad that my tax dollars are going towards this. How many seniors could be fed with what a Benny’s detail job costs?

Well you don't normally pick the people up that you deliver food too. But given these people, who knows.

Also it is now raining in BR. I bet the get another detail on Monday.

I’m still confused how a private company is fully funded by millage and public funds with virtually no oversight

What do you have against old people?

Seriously, I agree with you 100%. We have COA, and VBR that get tax dollars and are not govt. agencies.

So a person of color isn’t allowed to get their car washed?

So clean it out at the end of the shift. You know, like most companies that aren't living off of taxpayers backs do.

I have yet to see a UPS or FedEx truck getting detailed.

I'm no fan of the COA, but if they let the vans they had go to shite then you'd probably bitch that they didn't care about being accountable for keeping up the vehicles purchased with your hard earned taxes.

Fair enough. I was just quick thinking of other commercial vehicles in town. NONE of which I have seen getting detailed but frick it. If you are cool with Tarsha getting her ride shined up on your tax dollars its all good.

Their oversight comes from the state Council on Aging, whose head is appointed by the governor. The governor could intervene but won't because one of the biggest responsibilities of the Council on Aging is to pre-fill out absentee ballots for nursing home patients and to take folks from nursing homes to the polls on election day. You may not have guessed from context clues, but those ballots are pre-filled out to support democratic candidates like our honorable Governor.

He refuses to condemn the EBR COA because they're a critical part of the democrat voter fraud_ mean, get out the vote apparatus.

There's a difference between the COA who probably has a couple of vans and a multi billion dollar company that has hundreds of trucks in the city. The UPS trucks get detailed, but it's done in house, not at Benny's.

The COA wastes a shite ton of money, but this may be the most legitimate expense I've ever seen out of the organization.

My point, apparently lost here, was that the driver could easily do the $3 car wash and vacuum the van out at the FREE vacuums like my employees do. Getting a full detail on a work van is a stupid expenditure.
