if the now doubled CoA budget has been delayed yet again, i wonder what a new audit would bring light to. I can just see them thinking since their vote passed back in November 2016, that the taxpayer money was about to come rolling in and spending it frivolously.

I wonder if ol' Tasha Clark will have to take out another loan to catch up on promises she already made.

I really hope this all blows up in their faces.

It would be too much fun.

I told you guys, the more they dug the more they will find.

This should be a full investigation, not just an audit.

They will find dummy accounts, checks signed over to family members, and deceased accounts having cash moved to family and dummy accounts.

They're trying to push it through as fast as possible because they know some serious shite is about to come to light. This funding doesn't even start until 2018.

In all seriousness what kind of human being--and I use that term loosely--would steal from the elderly? It's appalling.

The Governor's Office has given the EBR COA until Monday, April 17, 2017, to respond to the request. It clearly states if no response is received, further action may be taken.

It's done hourly in this country, and even big companies target the elderly.

Cable companies will put scare tactics, so the elderly get pushed into the bigger packages. Threatening that they will not get the channels they want. Other companies do the same, having call centers feed them lies to up sell shite to them.

I thought the governor's office already stated they were letting the COA handle their own business and wasn't going to get involved.

Nvm, scruffy. Just saw that was an update.

4. Why Plummer was not referred to Southeast LA Legal Services, the EBR COA contractor who provides legal assistance for elderly clients.

Now that is an interesting tidbit of info right there

I'm telling you, the bigger part of the story might be Dorothy Jackson

Same. For the most part I don't give a frick about people... I actually hate people.

But when someone hurts a child or an old person it makes me want to break some skulls.

My post in a previous thread:

Why is no one looking at Atty. Dorothy F. Jackson?

As a board member she should have known better, as an Atty. she should have know better & as a Professor with areas of expertise listed as Elder Law, Rights of the Elderly, Successions Law, Trusts, Community Property she sure as hell should have known better.

IMO something TCA needs to lose her 6 figure job & Atty. Jackson needs to go before the bar association & resign from the board of directors

I wonder if this group will be smug and self-righteous and not respond to the request?

Time for GC to make some kind of post about this now.

The Plummer family is now claiming that the will says Dorothy Jackson is entitled to attorneys fees (despite the fact they apparently have a contractor that presumably provides that service free of charge) and TCA was also entitled to and additional 2.5% of the total estate on top of her 500/month
