They (the evil white Republicans) were going to call for a vote to delay for 30 days. The walkout automatically delayed it by 60 days apparently.
I bet the Dems didn't even realize that was going to happen when they walked out. I doubt they bother reading things like rules and shite.

How to stop all this and bring back the COA correctly.
1. Have the state group pull their charter and council allow the tax to be recalled.
2. Redo it where the city of central, Baker, Zachary, and any new city in the parish has a Board member, each council member has a board member which cannot be a council member or COA employee or volunteer, and the mayor president gets to pick 1 member.
3. Have a system of checks and balances where to metro council has oversight of the agency.
4. Then if the agency is run in the way it is intended then the council should look at letting the agency ask for a tax to be voted on by the voters in this parish.

Metro Councilwoman Chauna Banks called Amar to the podium, and held a spiritual pep rally for her as she recited Bible verses while many in the crowd murmured in agreement.
"It is well," Banks recited. "I want you to know it is well. Not because you're perfect, nobody is perfect. But because God knew when he chose you that you would make errors in this process, like we all do. But that's why he went to the cross…."
When screaming racism doesn't work, go to plan B: the Bible.
Its unhealthy how much I dislike these people.

A tube of lipstick, a pair of glasses and a popcorn ball were all that remained at Democrats' Metro Council seats Wednesday night after the group stormed out of the council meeting and forged the latest chapter in partisan and racial arguments among council members.
That's a hell of a hook

It's a weird, yet predictable, go-to for these folks. But it does help explain their overall mentality that they truly feel that they never do wrong, but if they did, it should be overlooked because God is on their side. They're having a Bible study/counseling session at a city council meeting. These are the people in charge of the capital city of a state.

Their secret meeting was about the audit....the audit didnt discover a secret meeting.

At some point, one would think that the blind followers of Gravy would start to think for themselves. But they don't and won't. And sadly, "they" represent the majority in the city of Baton Rouge.
Gravy went all in with Kaneitra Johnson. And we all know how that turned out for him.
He's now all in for the EBRCOA, Dorothy and Tarsha. And smart, educated and ethical people know how this will turn out as well.

It's not even that. It's that they think that since God forgives them that they should be absolved of any repercussions of their actions. It's an extremely dangerous attitude. This lady violated bylaws and ethics codes of her employer and now she's got people lining up to say she didn't do anything wrong because the Bible says so. Unfortunately, this is only the tip of the iceberg. In 5 years we'll look back on this and laugh how we concerned ourselves with such trivial topics compared to what they're doing in the present.

Jesus.
Tell me their peers don't just sit back and listen to this bullshite. If someone did this in the real world, I would lose my ever living mind on them.

Gary keeps saying that the will of the people voted for the Council on Aging tax and it should be done as they voted.
However, when President Trump was elected, that's not what Gary was saying. And he still isn't saying it.
Hell I keep laughing b/c he called for Hillar Moore's resignation for supporting the misdemeanor jail and demanded a black DA in Baton Rouge.
WE VOTE FOR DA, ya ignorant tard.
Same thing with Erwin. Voting don't mean shite when The Big Biscuit has an ax to grind.
