The most hammered I ever saw AD was at the Shim Sham in New Orleans. It wasn't an "official" show. He didn't start until around 4am. He almost fell over numerous times. This was like 2000ish. I hope he is sober. Lawt.

Interesting, I almost fell asleep at a Counting Crows concert back in the 90's. Most boring band I've ever seen.

I love live improvisation and ad libs. I like counting crowd.

Counting Crows live is not that. They will completely butcher and ruin songs to where they are indistinguishable from the album. Someone mentioned a 5 minute monologue mid song - bingo that’s what they do. That’s not what I go see a band for.

Seen live once will never see again.

I was there too. Those few years of secret shows at the ShimSham were awesome.

It's been a long December and there's reason to believe that gives me a reason to sing like a whiny bitch.

Not as bad as Hootie and the Blowfish. But almost.

Strongly prefer similar or same as the album but if you do add or change things at least don’t frick up the hook.

I like Counting Crows, but you’re the first person I’ve ever heard that had them as their favorite.

They don’t seem like a “favorite band ever by far” type of group.

The reason you go to a concert is because you like the music the artists makes. Why would you want to listen to it done different? I want to see them perform the songs as they were recorded and experience the energy from the crowd.

But I've seen a bunch of posts over the years with people complaining about bands not playing songs exactly like their album versions. And I just don't get that. At all. Why even go to a concert if you just want to hear songs sound exactly like they do on their respective albums? Just listen to the albums
I get that and to each his own, but the Counting Crows dude changes it up so much but the main issue is for my liking what he does is just horrible.

He basically doesn't even sing the song when he goes off script, he just mumbles the line really quickly without singing. It's off beat and doesn't jive at all with the music.

Seen them live twice, big fan... Probably the 2 worst shows I've ever seen.
