You’ve seen poltergeist right? Well that’s close enough for me.

Of course, I was the one who committed the crime.

Sure, this is real life, not a horror movie.

A few variables I’d have to consider.

Is it a “famous” murder? Had a friend who grew up in a house where a well known one occurred and they had random creepers try to break in just to “get a glimpse” of the house. They ended up selling as a result.

Was it cleaned well afterward? Any damage repaired and not cheaply? (Obviously)

Was the murdered caught? If so, has the trial concluded? If not, they may ask to do walkthroughs in the house for the jury and such. News stations may still be hanging around. Could be too disruptive to be worth the trouble.

No. If it was a notorious crime, hell no. They're thinking about tearing down Columbine HS because it's a pilgrimage site for weirdos.

Just close and lock the door to the room where it happened and never, ever open it again...

Would the real estate agent be obligated to inform buyer of a murder in the house?

I believe I could. A triple Domestic homicide happened 1/2 mile from my house. Man killed his family in their home and ran off. He committed suicide 2 days later off in some woods across the county. The house was cleaned and on the market and someone bought it a few months afterwards.

Nope. I wouldn’t be able to stop thinking things like “huh, someone was murdered here” while trying to cook or masturbate, which would really decrease my enjoyment of the home.

A friend of mine in LA was saying yesterday that the house where the Manson family killed the LaBiancas is up for sale. He said he would live there in a second. Not me. No way.

It is for sale slightly below market value. Just under $2M

I’ve wondered about the houses in Baton Rouge and surrounding towns where Derek Todd Lee murdered people in them. One was on Stanford and assume some lives there now. Don’t think I could.
