I watched a series about the Heavens Gate cult on tv a few weeks ago.
That Marshall Applewhite dude was a creepy fricker
Odd thing is most of the people in that cult were well educated, yet they fell for his bullshite.

I shy away from organizations and group think. Any large top down organization discourages critical thinking and inevitably becomes corrupted.
