Believe it or not I don’t think you can OD on Xanax either. You would have to take another drug besides Xanax with it. You can take dozens and you will just pass out

I pretty much know the answer, no.

But how much THC would it take to kill someone?

You can absolutely OD on pot, but this OD will not be fatal. It is likely impossible to consume enough in short enough time for it to be fatal.

Yeap, never hear college frats killing guys with weed. But chugging alcohol or water, yes.

Pretty certain that in history we have not had a cause of death of Marajuana overdose or whatever it would read, but we've had several hundred or prob thousand that said acute benzo poisoning...

You can OD on Xanax. Stop breathing. Lose your gag reflex and aspirate.
Can’t OD on weed.

I guess if your blood stream was 20% THC you may die due to lack of oxygen? That's just so beyond improbable though.

Everyone has missed so far.

1) THC is not water soluble so rule out bloodstream

2) THC, once the receptors are filled, then stores in the fat, once the fat is full, excess is excreted, primarily through the bowels

3) there is only an estimated LD50 (Lethal Dose to 50% of a population) and even this hypothetical LD50 for marijuana is based upon the deeply flawed studies of 1970's and 1980's and still stands at 8.45kg for a 65 kg adult. US Dept of Health

Some people have reported taking up to 2000 mg of Xanax, with only minor toxicity. This is more than 1000 times the maximum daily recommended dose, making Xanax a very safe medication when it’s taken alone. However, it is much easier to overdose on Xanax when it’s combined with other central nervous system depressants, such as opiates or alcohol.

People have taken 1,000 fricking Xanax bars and nothing happened.

If the person was strapped down or locked in a room no.

If the person has access to a vehicle or pretty much anything outside of their couch then yes.

The pot itself will not kill them but the stupid shite they get into while stoned out of their mind easily could.

(I am talking entire pan of pot brownies stoned, not a couple blunts stoned)

eta: I interpreted the OP as could someone die from marijuana use.

Asking if someone could OD on pot is a pretty stupid fricking thing to be asking.

This has changed as more pharma companies are looking to get in the game. Most have done their own toxicology studies as they look to use the resin for their own purposes. Each one will be a little different based on the method, but we are actually talking about a realistic amount when talking pure THC. For a 180lbs person about 67 grams.

No. You fall asleep before you’d get close. How do you not know this? It’s non habit forming, too.
