Imagine being told you can do absolutely fricking nothing and sit around and collect ~$450k/yearly and you fight back demanding ~$3mm/yearly. Not only that, but he still has to pay for their tuition and all related expenses.

What an entitled count. I hope she gets nothing.

What's wrong with having the children live with the parent who is best able to provide for them?

Costner may be challenged on the fidelity to his wife end, but he's a pretty good business man and probably worth 350 to 500 million. He's probably one of the richest guys in Hollywood.

I remember he was in town filming JFK, I remember a buddy of mine who was in the same Fraternity as him remarked about how big of a dick he was.....but he was a world class poon hound .....and extremely prolific

And the current way it is that screws the male over while the ex can sit at home not doing shite expecting to get $250k a month, is more fricked than removing a child from a poor mom who can't provide for it.

His FAFO moment came when he fricked Cal Ripken Jr.’s wife and Cal caught him and beat his arse.

I get it.. The perception that she sits at home and he goes to work. Frankly though, that's been the arrangement in this case all along though. After nearly 20 yrs to say... I'm over you.... It sucks for you that you have no appreciable skills because you stayed home to raise the kids etc but now go find a job.
That's 1800s chattel mentality. 3MM a year against 20MM isn't especially crushing because I would imagine that he already spends a good amount of that on family life events.

If they were married a couple of years..no kids she gets all the clothes jewels and a good bye card

18yrs and kids... There is alimony due

Also to say that the wealthier of the two deserves the kids because they can afford the kids is a very bad precedent in my opinion.

Cool, he's a shitty person, but she's using money for the kids to live the high life. That is also a shitty thing to do.

You think it shitty of her to not want the kids to resent the time they spend with her because the man who fathered the children with her caused the end of their marriage and created this crappy situation?

This thread seems full of people who haven’t experienced being the mom in this scenario. My sister went through something like this on a much smaller scale, and her life since the divorce has been a constant financial struggle. If he hadn’t cheated on her and left her, it wouldn’t have been that way.

There are probably some things that are worse than removing a child from its mother because the mother “can’t provide” for them after the father left her, but making Kevin Costner fork over a piece of his enormous earnings isn’t one of them.
