the BR Costco employees are the reason I don’t belong to Costco anymore
Someone in another post commented about the employees in Covington being better. I guess they are if you prefer more of the blue haired trans types. Also, somedays the Cosco in Covington is like visiting the United Nations. I was aware that the Northshore had so many non english speaking people and I am not talking about Hispanics

The Kirkland spirit, wine and beer label is remarkably good

I get my steaks from Sam’s .. we buy their fillets and I think Sam’s beef in general is better..
This and scan and go is why we go to Sam's. We don't buy clothing at either so Costco being superior in that area wasn't a deciding factor.

Costco for me. My local Sam’s has been overrun by the dindus. I would prefer to dodge the oblivious Asian women at Costco, plus the food court is better.

I'm even more convinced now i've started really eating the Members mark pecans. The are just poor quality compared to Kikrland.

Don't brag about Costco until they get Scan and Go....
Otherwise, it's a dinosaur..

Jesus chirst yall are obsessed over this. I'd rather go through a checkout with quality food than being able to "scan and go" dogshit for the same price.

Costco has a very different business model than Sams. They carry significantly fewer SKU’s. And they sell the same thing over and over again. And they have always paid their employees very well to reduce turnover. They were paying $15/hr 20 years ago.
Sam’s carries a significantly higher number of SKU’s and they pay their employees minimum wage.
It’s obvious which business model results in a better experience for the customer.

You may scoff at Scan and Go, but it makes shopping at Sam's as easy as grabbing something at Circle K. In and out. I don't mind stopping at Sam’s for just milk, or just eggs, or whatever. Would never go to Costco like that.

Does Costco have scan and go yet?
If not… nothing else matters

I’ve stated this before but I’ve never went to check out at my local Costco and had to wait in a line to check out. 75% of the time there is a cashier open. I’m pretty sure I’ve never gotten in a line more than 1 deep.
Are you going at 1030 am on a Tuesday?

People that "prefer" Cosco over Sam's do so because they think it makes them better than Sam's or Walmart shoppers. They see the Cosco Card as a symbol of status. In truth the stores are basically the same, both have pros and cons.
I shop at both depending on what I am looking for.

Some of the same stuff at very close prices which was good.
I use Sam's (Scan and Go for the win). Visited Costco and it was pretty much the same as Sam's but the customers were all douchebags. You could tell they were the liberal hipster types. I'd pay more just to avoid bumping elbows with those people.

Our Costco in mobile at times has had Blantons and EH Taylor on the shelf. That’s enough for me.

Sam’s Club brisket is far superior to Costco

We don't have a Costco in Mississippi unfortunately.
I'm always seeing awesome online Costco deals on colognes.

Sam's is just Walmart trash. Yes, Costco is far superior.
I agree generally. However, I keep my Sam’s card because it’s easier for us to make dedicated trips there. Costco is a “while we’re in town” ordeal. And the one in Greenville is crowded. So it definitely isn’t a weekend thing.
Sam’s has better cold cuts, better lean beef (wife likes it lean … ). And Sam’s has some random stuff we like that Costco doesn’t have. And Scan n Go is huge.
So it a why don’t we have both? situation. Also nice for cheap gas on the road where no Costco.

Always wanted to check out Costco, but not enough to drive to Covington or New Orleans. Sam's is good enough since it's right here in town.
