Looking at getting a membership to one of the wholesalers. Sams is more convenient but for an extra 10 minutes I can go to Costco. Which one is better

I like Costco better.

But we have a free Sam's membership through the wife's office so that's what we use.

One is owned by Walmart. The other is not.

One accepts EBT. The other does not.

One has a much better and higher caliber of employees. The other does not.

This is a fact. But it wasn't enough to convince me to keep my membership to Sam's.

I would like to know why Costco over Sam's? What's the difference? I do have a Sam's membership; I have never been to Costco.

Denham Springs Sam's is the nicest of Sam's Club in Baton Rouge. It's also the newest. The Sam's. that closed down off Airline Highway near Choctaw Drive needed to close. It was atrocious. Siegen Sam's is great to watch the employees and see how hard they work at not wanting to work. Or help.

Sam's has multiple items of the same type of product. Costco, at most, will give you the choice of two for the same type of product. Costco is the largest buyer of wine and offers a great selection at reduced prices. I also like Costco's butcher department.

Costco.

However, Sams Now is legit. No cashiers, robots clean it— scan and go with the app. The stores are smaller and carry only grocery and household.

I'd drive an extra couple hours for Costco.

Sam's is basically free if you join using the "Get $45 off your first in-club purchase when you become a Sam's Club Member for $45"

Sams Club $45 deal

I think Costco's house brand is better than the Sam's brand, and I found they have a little better selection in general. The Costco here is also laid out a little better and easier to navigate(except on weekends).

Otherwise, I haven't noticed a huge enough difference to justify a Costco membership when we already have a free Sam's one.

Some might say customer service, but the service at the Sam's we go to is fine.
