Coronavirus infection rate massively understated

With 330 million ppl and 3000 cases rate in US is 1 in 110k ppl.
Let's say there's 10k pro athletes worth mention?
5 are coronavirus positive
3 NBA
1 XFL
1 YANKEES SPRING TRAINING GUY
1 in 33k Americans is pro athlete of note.
That rate is 15 X the national rate.
They are just way more medically scrutinized. Get tested when others wouldn't.
It's way more prevalent.
Death rate much lower than publicized.
Thoughts?

They aren’t testing everyone, just worst case scenarios. That’s pretty much worldwide now. It’s a lot higher than known tested cases.

No. As a scientist, I just find it crazy that they are spouting off mortality rates when they should know the infection numbers they are using to calculate are total bullshite.
