Essentially.
But we're treating it like it's an airborne version of Ebola.

The “cure” is getting worse than the disease.

Just use your brain for a second. These people making these decisions have access to much more data than you and me. They are talking with the experts. And they are basing these decisions off that. But the plumber and mechanic baws think they knew better.

NEW: France reports 5,233 new cases of coronavirus and 1,120 additional deaths, including 532 people who died in nursing homes and were previously not counted
France's CFR is going to go up a decent bit while they continue to include all these old deaths. Why weren't they counting them before?

France only included people who died in a hospital with their numbers. They are revising their counts to include people who died outside a hospital setting

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I am excited to say that my oxygen saturation is up to 95 and my cough is better as well. There is talk of me going home soon. They are still worried about my heart but I think it will be ok as well. So I have been here over a week now and looks like I may be here another few days and then be quarantined at home for awhile after that. I feel pretty damn good even if I am sick. The doctor agrees that you guys supporting me helped with the healing process and it as also raised my morale. I may be a dick next footballing guy season whenever that may be but until then I owe it to you guys to return the love so no trolling from me for awhile unless it's in self defense. I still have no cravings for cigarettes and that in itself was worth getting sick.
I am only supposed to have two weeks vacation but I have about used it. The boss is extending it to one month. If I miss more than that I will be eligible for unemployment but I hope I am cleared by then.
All in all the virus did cause me a lot of grief but only because my lungs were already in bad shape. I still kicked its arse with some help from the fine folks of BMC hospital here in Birmingham. I am 44 yrs old and I am 6'1" tall and I weigh 160 pounds so it would have been a breeze imo if my lungs had been in better shape. Wicked virus but easily defeated if you are in reasonable physical condition.
Just stay smart guys and don't go out unless you have to. Be vigilant keeping your distance when you do need food etc and have to go out. The sickness may not be a burden on most of you but we all have loved ones to think about should we get them sick.
The nurse said said they aren't allowed to talk about any covid patients or as about hospital supplies etc. I am curious about the situation upstairs in ICU but they aren't allowed to discuss it with me.
Thanks again to all of you who cheered me on and prayed for my condition. You guys are pretty rough to people on the keyboard but I have seen a good deal of integrity dripping from lots of you during a crisis. True colors have shown through even by some of you who otherwise act like assholes at times. God bless you all.

Man, that is great news. It's crazy how everyday I would anxiously await your update. Hope you get home and either back to work or find another job. Your boss was a total dick at first.
And frick Bama, btw.

Go home and enjoy your family when you’re allowed to.

I'll allow it since your positive vibes have reached my hospital room two states over. Go tigers! Speaking of football season, the ot will be the only hot topic board on all of tiger droppings if this shite doesn't get better by start of summer. They have to be able to have lots of practice time during summer to get in shape and prepare for the season or we won't have football. That is gonna suck my dude. Since Saban's strength is organizational and preparation I like our chances if we only have the summer to get ready for the season but it really does look as if it will get canceled. I know American lives are more important than college football but damn it. I am gonna be pissed if/when they cancel. What do you think?

Just jokes brother.
I think if anyone can figure it out, it will be the little fella in crimson. I worry about our team a bit, maybe some hangover plus now Oeaux is having some personal strife.
Who knows I just hope to hell we get a season.

I understand why these shutdowns are happening, I just don't agree with them. The genie is out of the bottle now for anything to be declared a national emergency. If we don't curb climate change in 10 years, we're all dead. That means we need to shut down those industries that are causing the problem. A surge in gun deaths? Well...let's ban all semi-automatic rifles.
As soon as you give the government an inch, they will take a mile. Government exists to be oppressive.

Now that the graphs are being shown on TV people are finally starting to get the idea that stay at home orders to flatten the curve aren’t intended to end this sooner. The “stay home so this ends faster crowd” is starting to realize what flattening the curve really means.
