My advice is to drive to Mongolia or Vietnam and catch a flight out that country because China is about to go on total lockdown. I'm actually surprised the airlines haven't all shut down air traffic to/from the country yet.

Last time I was there they didn't let just anyone drive.
Maybe he has a driver....but I would definitely head north either by domestic flight or train.

Well I only have a Visa for china so not sure I'd even be admitted to Mongolia or Vietnam if I was even able to get there
