Money people won’t allow.
If this was in a poor South African country the borders would already be locked.

I just saw a presser from the WHO and he said it was already human to human.

I think the person in Texas had already had contact with 16 people.

Could spread quickly

It's definitely human to human. They're saying in China it has shown to be up to 4th gen spread now, which is source-human-human-human.

The reason they haven't issued a Global Health Emergency is cause they haven't had a human-human transmission outside of China. Once they have human-human transmission on an international scale they will issue a GHE.

Once they issue a GHE, then what? I'm supposed to fly back to the States Jan 31. Trying to move up flights but no luck so far.

Could they lock down the entire province? Country?

While I am quick to relish in Schadenfreude on Tigerdroppings, I'm just going to wish you the best. You are in a nightmare scenario.

You can't get a domestic to Beijing then get out of there?

Well that isn’t ideal.

I'm missing something on the human to human thing. Aren't the flu and the measles and the cold human to human? Why is that detail all of a sudden a big deal?

Yes.

Which is why they spread easily.

If Twitter is telling the truth here, I'd wager that it's 10x that number

Times like these are why the internet actually kinda rules.

The fact alone is not overly important. Its when you consider the reports stating it originated from wild game.

From non-human to human, and then accelerated spread human to human would indicate that the virus did/is mutate quickly.

Otherwise; why was the virus not prevalent before. Like the cold, flu, etc.

I’m sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in, but I think because, for all intents and purposes, nobody has any idea what the hell this is and there is no vaccine for it. And human-to-human means that it can spread very quickly (like the flu).

Yeah. Before leaving for work this morning I saw 18 deaths (17 in Wuhan/1 outside of Wuhan) now it has grown by 7. Few things scare me more than this scenario involving biological agents.
