My understanding is that Germany is "cheating" and classifying a number of coronavirus deaths as the result of other comorbidities.
“It wasn’t corona that killed them, but a nosocomial infection following the intubation line!”

Germany just banned gatherings of more than 2 people.

It would concern me, too. I say go in, see if it’s a shitshow. If it’s obvious that your health may be at risk, the world won’t end. Mortgage companies will work with you if things get bad. I believe all foreclosures are on hold at this point. Same is probably true with electric service and water. You’ll have some time to find something. May not be ideal, but it doesn’t necessarily sound like what you’re headed into is going to be a long-term career. Warehouse work sucks.
I say you're right. My wife is a bit concerned as well. And yeah, I've been doing warehouse work for 8 years now. I'll graduate with my degree in about 2 years and during my interview I made it very clear that I don't intend on working in that warehouse for more than 2 years. They seemed fine with it and referenced many warehouse people that eventually transferred to sales/admin/leadership, but they also could have just been saying that to appease me because they need people that can operate forklifts. Honestly, I'm damn tired of working in warehouses.

Now that's how to quarantine.

My man might as well go all in & get himself some sprite & jolly ranchers

Why would you retest someone?
If they improve and do not require an intervention, we shouldn’t waste resources
Correct. The data here is important but the most unreliable data point is “recoveries”. There is no way we are designated resources and time to confirm the recovery of people who are already healthy. That data point will eventually catch up but right now it’s nearly useless.

Great news. Down 18% is more than slightly IMO

Two days with a declining death toll is a winning streak
Posted on 3/22/20 at 12:32 pm to Pettifogger
Just being cautious. During the outbreak in Italy there has been a decline one day and then the next it spikes again. Just want to see the trend continue for a few days before I say the peak is over.

Are we Italy yet? We were supposed to be Italy a week ago

NY now accounts for 58% of all US cases.

Just stop. You're adding nothing constructive to the thread. Have a discussion but stop the bullshite.

He'd rather rage on the internet on how the government is limiting his freedoms as opposed to going outside and exercising those freedoms.

Just saw a tweet that says Rand Paul tested positive

Paul is reportedly asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to extensive travel and events.
He expects to be back in the Senate after his quarantine period.
