I think all or most have been tested by now, but many were not tested up until recently.

For the doctors/nurses: if there is a resident in a nursing home that exhibits issues breathing that seems like covid but is a DNR, do medsnhelp with any pain associated? I’d thst just up to the facility md or hospice if they happen to be under hospice care?

The mortality rate is only part of the problem. The rate at which people require hospitalization is more significant. If the health care infrastructure can't keep up then the mortality rate will increase because you can't treat people that would otherwise need a ventilator or hospitalization.

Never got better so we took her back when she started running a fever again like a week later. They told us to stop the PCN since it was probably a viral infection and just treat symptoms with Tylenol and ibuprofen for fever and keep hydrated.
She was better about 3 or 4 days later. It would not surprise me if the was infected with CV, but there's a 99% chance it was just a really bad cold virus.

The mortality rate always rises from the early numbers because death can take a while. People were touting South Korea when it was 0.68%. It's now just over 1.0%. On March 1 Italy was at 2.41% mortality and that has risen to 8.6%. It's too early to know where New York is headed.

Im guessing to determine where we house them? We are cohorting now. So once positive they are bedded in a specific area. The pts who are intubated go on airborne and everyone else is droplet. We are wearing homemade masks over our single N95 that cannot be replaced. I honestly do not understand the triage of testing. Celebrities are getting tested without symptoms and yet we can't test peeps with a temp of 103 and a dry cough because they are in their 30s and haven't desatted yet.
I have abandoned trying to find the logic and have succumbed to just doing what I am told.

Roughly 80% of those who get this virus show only mild or no symptoms at all. Keep the ones who are more vulnerable to this disease in isolation/quarantine while the younger population lets this virus take its course naturally.
This isn't that hard.
