I will not. You can't have a nation shutting itself down for months on in without something that can ease fears. Any positive news will help the markets and the mental health of the population.

Eventually everything has to open back up again and it will. But if this panic keeps going on for months then yes everything will collapse if you keep living in fear.

Is Louisiana on the high or low end of testing?

See lots of states basically not testing. It doesn't look like any states are testing everyone or testing at levels that catch all.

I don't think it's been debunked. You may not like this source, but he gives a good medical rationale.

Low end of testing, for sure. Private labs are involved now, at least with my practice. We were told yesterday that Mayo Clinic was backed up a week. We should have better testing capabilities this week and then around time should be much shorter.

I thought I remember also seeing the Chinese recommend not using any type of steroids, as those also acted as immunosuppressents.

I wonder how that plays for asthma patients who use an inhaler?

George G on GMA really sounds like he wants this ER doc from Seattle to say they’re in complete crisis. Said they have enough vents at their hospital and the hospital down the street may need some but that they can shift and share.

Good try George. Doc didn’t give in from my point of view.

I just want to cry. I’m selfish. I want my son to graduate officially from college. I want my dtr back in her dorm where she’s oh so happy and thriving. I want to go to work and see my little old people. I want this crap over.

I hear you. I watched my daughter sit at the dining room table last night using white-out to cover all the baseball games she’d written down in her planner. We just cancelled hotel and AirBnB reservations for some of those games. I think a lot of our college kids are still in a bit of shock about all of this, and the reality is just starting to sink in.

So do we know what life is like in China or S Korea today? Are things still shut down over there?

I think I read from someone here that does business with China companies that they’re 75% back on line? Maybe that was from Honkus?

SK I have no idea.

Honkus said his family is still locked down and their factory hasn’t opened.

I’m pretty sure they were a couple hours outside of Wuhan

As much as I hate it for my dtr (college freshman) if it were her senior year in high school, idk that I could console her.

It’s a lesson for us all that it truly always could be worse and to be grateful for the here and now. It’s hard and I struggle but I’m trying.

No offense dude but we’re all going through this. I’m missing a funeral for a grandparent and have a mother in the hospital (not Covid), but I can’t be there because of this. Also have a fiancé that’ll miss her graduation for her PhD. I’m sure every poster on here has a similar story. Pull yourself together and stop abbreviating ‘daughter’.

What, if it isn’t on the page that happens to be most recent whenever someone stumbles across info, it’s “not being talked about?”
