Drive thru testing is happening in Lafayette today. It does not sound like the same process as in Baton Rouge where people went with in order to have this done. They are announcing if you have fever greater than 100.4 and a cough and difficulty breathing then you can go. I’m assuming there will be lots of people who go to this that probably should not.
As of yesterday there were no known cases in our area. I’m assuming that something will come out of the testing and that will make it even more real for this area.

Yes we need the data. I’m just assuming that it will be pretty much of a chaotic situation with people showing up not having symptoms but demanding a test. If they don’t get the test because they aren’t showing symptoms I’m just thinking it will be not a good situation.

How in the world is India not having a huge issue with this? They are right next to China, have a billion people on top of each other, etc. I just don’t understand how they could have way less cases than us.

I’m thinking a physician thought it would be a fantastic idea. I’m just picturing total chaos and thinking back to how the hurricane situations were handled in this area. I know it’s not the same thing but you will likely have people there who want to be tested who don’t technically fit the criteria to be tested and I can foresee problems With crowds and what not

Is there much commerce between the two? It seems they constantly compete for cheapest export labor role.
Geographically I know they are next to China, but Everest is being a huge cockblock to much back and forth and we don’t have anything to indicate rural Western China has much if any corona outbreaks anyway.

When will we get to the point with having enough test kit to test all of those with symptoms as well as those of us in the general population who are fine or at least appear to be fine?

Just that a lot of docs turn to scardy cats when it comes to HIPPA violations. Maybe the chief of staff is political enough to give him some air cover on a high interest story?
